Great for Groups!
“We had a big group stay here over the family day long weekend, the owners were excellent to help accommodate our group!! We sledded, ice fished, and the smaller kids tobogganed some. Cabins were cozy and clean, the main lodge was nice to visit and hang out some.
Definitely retuning in years to come – highly recommend staying here”. – Ernie (Winter 2025)

Perfect for Fishing Derbies!
“Our group of 20 visited Wendego Lodge the end of Feb for our 31st annual ice fishing trip. We had been to this location many many times before, took a few years off during/post covid, and were eager to be back and meet the new owners Melanie and Ray. From initial planning to the end of our stay the hosts were extremely responsive, accommodating, friendly and helpful. It was great to see the lodge had retained all of its “rustic charm”. If you want total quiet, connecting with nature and amazing star watching – this is the place to go! In short, Tranquille lake and Wendego Lodge offer a true wilderness experience. The trip into the lake is a couple hours from Kamloops through some amazing scenery. The lake is not overly large and “tranquil”, and guaranteed you will catch some rainbow trout, not real big ones but lots! The cabins are quite comfortable and cooking/heat provided via an old fashioned wood stove. As there is no electricity in the cabins, ensure you bring along your lights, headlamps, battery packs, solar chargers, etc. For those needing to send a message home the hosts provided guest access to their internet, and the lodge also has a small store with some of the essentials. We had an awesome time at Wendego and plan to be back annually. Thanks again Melanie and Ray (and Murphy)! Cheers” – Don and the rest of the crew (Winter 2025).

The Ultimate BC Experience!
“My boyfriend and I spent a week out here in August and let me tell you – this prairie girl was experiencing British Columbia for the first time, and what better way to do that than be at Wendego! Incredible family-run business, inviting, welcoming, friendly. I was so glad they allow guests to bring pets as I really wanted to bring my nearly 9 year old dog with us on the trip. We loved our cabin, enjoyed cooking on a fire burning stove, the fishing was great, we rented a boat for a day – it was the most peaceful camping trip. We can’t stop telling all our friends and family about it and are already planning our next stop here!” – Jessa (Summer 2024)
Perfect and Affordable Family Fun!
“We went for one night and it was amazing. The owners of the lodge are terrific, it is truly a family run resort. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed,
we rented a boat, they set us up with fishing rods and tackle and everything we needed to fish . They also let us to use their paddle boards and took our kids out on their quads.
There are lots of activities for families to do, there is horseshoes to play, darts and board games in the lodge, there are all sorts of things to do to keep as busy as you’d like. Owner even makes muffins you can order in the evening, which are hot and ready for breakfast the following morning.
The cabins are rustic, but rustic by design. For most people, I believe this is exactly what you would be looking for, the cabins are Lakefront, there’s a large grassy area to play games, you can kick a ball play frisbee, kids can run and play, it’s very well maintained and safe.
If you’re coming to fish, then apparently this is the lake you want to be at. My family and I are not fisherman, but we did catch a bunch of fish, the couple next to us caught 18 In just over an hour!
The highlight was being on the lake, next to another boat who was bringing in a fish. An eagle was frying overhead, swooped down, extended its talons and scooped up the fish e and flew away, it was like it happened in slow motion. It was a National Geographic moment!” – Chris (Summer 2024)
